" When I look to the future, its so bright, it burns my eyes"

About an hour ago I was checking students into a blood drive in honor of our late professor Dr. Carroll. Many of these students knew they were in for a 90 minute wait in order to donate. The blood drive was held on what would have been Dr. Carroll’s 69th birthday. Seeing the room full of students made me realize how Dr. Carroll really made a difference in the York College community. It also made me realize how giving YCP students can truly be. As a college student sometimes its hard to even find time to eat, but these students gave time out of their busy schedule to give for someone they will never even know. I encountered many people throughout my hour of volunteering, some anxious, some prepared, but all happy to give of themselves. I hope if you’re reading this, you too will be inspired to give of yourselves, not necessarily with blood, but even in the smallest of ways.
