" When I look to the future, its so bright, it burns my eyes"

About an hour ago I was checking students into a blood drive in honor of our late professor Dr. Carroll. Many of these students knew they were in for a 90 minute wait in order to donate. The blood drive was held on what would have been Dr.¬†Carroll’s¬†69th birthday. Seeing the room full of students made me realize how Dr. Carroll really made a difference in the York College community. It also made me realize how giving YCP students can truly be. As a college student sometimes its hard to even find time to eat, but these students gave time out of their busy schedule to give for someone they will never even know. I encountered many people throughout my hour of volunteering, some anxious, some prepared, but all happy to give of themselves. I hope if you’re reading this, you too will be inspired to give of yourselves, not necessarily with blood, but even in the smallest of ways.
